Description
Do you want to develop software for safety-critical automotive functions in accordance with the requirements of ISO 26262 with the Rust programming language in future? Due to its design and language features, this promising programming language is particularly suitable for embedded software development in this environment and is becoming increasingly widespread.
The seminar will focus on the following areas:
- Introduction to Rust
- Embedded Rust
- Rust and interoperability with C/C++
- Rust and safety-critical software development
- Rust coding guidelines
- Rust tooling
The topics are conveyed using practical examples and interactive methods.
Your benefit
Participants will gain an insight into how safety-critical software can be developed with Rust or in mixed environments with Rust and C/C++ in accordance with ISO26262.
The training enables participants to implement their existing software development skills in the Rust programming language and also receives an introduction to embedded development and the current status of the tool landscape for safety-critical development.
Thanks to current practical examples, participants will learn specifically how to integrate abstract requirements for standards into their daily work.
Target group
The training is aimed at software developers, software testers, software project managers and safety engineers who have points of contact with software development in the context of functional safety.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of functional safety in accordance with ISO26262 is helpful, but not mandatory. However, knowledge of software development is a prerequisite.
Participants and duration
Duration: 1 day
Participants: up to 12 participants
For a deep-dive or for project-specific questions, the training part can be expanded to include additional workshops. We will be happy to advise you to find the right offer for you.
