Description
In today’s automotive industry, the development of safety-critical software is of crucial importance. Our training offers you the opportunity to deal intensively with the requirements of ISO 26262 and to understand the basic concepts of functional safety (FuSi). You will learn how software development fits into the safety lifecycle and gain valuable insights into practice.
Option for software developers:
This option is aimed at developers who will develop safety-critical automotive functions in accordance with ISO 26262. It deepens the technical aspects of software development and provides the necessary knowledge to implement the safety requirements.
Option for project managers and safety managers:
This option is specifically designed for project managers, safety managers and project associates who need to accompany the development of safety-critical software without developing software themselves. It focuses on the management and coordination aspects of software development in the context of functional safety.
Content:
- Introduction to functional safety (FuSi) and classification of software development in the safety lifecycle
- Detailed presentation of the requirements of ISO 26262 for all phases of software development:
- Software requirements
- Software architecture
- Software unit design and implementation
- Software unit test
- Software Integration
- Testing the entire software
- Practical examples: C versus RUST, mixed ASIL on μC/μP, AUTOSAR, Model Based Software Development and ASPICE
- Other topics: Handling configuration and calibration data, test environments, ASIL decomposition in software, software tool qualification and relationship between ASPICE and ISO26262
Your benefit
The participants will gain an insight into how safety-critical software is developed or can be accompanied in compliance with standards.
The seminar enables participants to apply their existing knowledge in the context of the standard requirements for safety-critical software development, thereby reducing potential uncertainties.
Software developers, thanks to current practical examples, will learn specifically how to integrate abstract standard requirements into their daily work.
Target group
The training is, depending on the chosen option, aiming at software developers, project managers, safety managers and project associates who have points of contact with software development in the context of functional safety.
Requirements
For the option for software developers basic knowledge of functional safety in accordance with ISO26262 is helpful, but not mandatory. However, knowledge of software development is a prerequisite.
For the option for project and safety managers basic knowledge of functional safety is a prerequisite. Knowledge of software development is helpful, but not mandatory.
